Golf Queensland has today announced a partnership with sports management system provider revolutioniseSPORT in delivering online services for the Junior Golf Queensland program.

The partnership will assist with the preparations for Golf Queensland and the Junior Golf Foundation of Queensland merging its junior operations to form one united body for junior golf in the state.

Golf Queensland Communication and Marketing Manager, Claire Power, said there were a number of changes required to provide Junior Golf Queensland with the infrastructure to administer the program.

"At Golf Queensland we're always looking for ways to make our staff, volunteers and members digital interaction with us easier," Ms Power said.

"This coupled with the delivery of our new program meant the requirement for a comprehensive membership system that could meet all the needs of the sport.

"We're pleased to be working with revolutioniseSPORT and feel that the partnership will be a successful one."

The partnership with revolutioniseSPORT will assist Golf Queensland in administering and managing the program in an effort to bolster grassroots participation and stimulate further growth within the sport, as well as providing them with a suite of management capabilities including membership, communications, finances, events and governance tools.

revolutioniseSPORT Managing Director Alex Mednis agrees: "The popularity of golf in this country is immense - to be tapping into that and connecting so many people to the sport will be very rewarding for us."

"We're particularly excited about helping Golf Queensland deliver their junior program - helping sports grow from the grassroots base all the way to the elite level is what we're all about."

Formally the merge will take effect as of 1 January 2016 and will have an impact on how membership will work moving forward.

There are two options for joining Junior Golf Queensland with membership available from December 1. These options include: 1. Social Membership which entitles you to our regular Junior Newsletter only 2. Paid Membership which gives you access to a variety of benefits including; events, camps/clinics, member zone and online competitions.
