revolutioniseSPORT was proud to attend the Western Region Forum for Local Government in the NSW Blue Mountains this week.

The event brought together almost 100 sport & recreation officers from Local Governments right across Western New South Wales, for a forum aimed at increasing their knowledge of current updates within sport & recreation.

revolutioniseSPORT was delighted to have Managing Director Alex Mednis speak at the event, on the power of social media in sporting clubs, best practices, and how local government sport & recreation planners can best use social media to connect with their clubs. Further, a moderated discussion was held on how to best engage clubs to get them using social media, and what resources officers could share among themselves about best practice and policy.

Local government forms a critical part of the sporting landscape, as a primary stakeholder in the use of community sporting grounds and allocation of resources to renew, build and maintain facilities across their LGA.

This was facilitated by the NSW Office of Sport.
