Online sports club management specialists revolutioniseSPORT has released a white paper, outlining the four cornerstones of digital technology in sport, aimed at governing bodies in Australia sport.

According to revolutioniseSPORT’s analysis of over 50 Australian National and State Sporting Organisations, sport in Australia is in the midst of change - a paradigm shift where peak organisations are no longer content with a technology solution that is "good enough".

revolutioniseSPORT’s research reveals sports are coming to realise that they must have a cohesive strategy to unify the direction of their digital assets.

The white paper describes practical steps for developing a sound digital strategy to:

1. Gather meaningful data from members
2. Extract key insights from membership data
3. Leverage the power of social media
4. Maintain a strong, integrated and professional website

Introducing the white paper, revolutioniseSPORT Director Alex Mednis explains "the intention is to arm National and State Sporting Organisations with straightforward, practical tools they can use to boost participation and streamline membership management.

"We hope that by following these steps, governing bodies can maximise what digital technology has to offer their sport, and they can expect to see leaps and bounds in their sport moving into the future."

revolutioniseSPORT have also developed a ‘digital strategy health check’, which NSOs and SSOs can access for free. The digital strategy health check is being launched at a series of SSO/NSO workshops for governing bodies hosted by the Australian Sports Technologies Network.
