Leading sport management platform revolutioniseSPORT has released a dedicated tool for immunisation data tracking for sports.

Having collaborated with over 100 state and national sporting organisations, the tracking tool is specifically designed to allow sports to collect COVID-19 vaccination status of members upon their return to sport.

With the increasing requirements for members to be fully vaccinated in order to participate in sport, the tool aims to reduce the burden on volunteers on checking and storing member  vaccination information at the entry to every game, by allowing the recording and verification of the immunisation status of participants, thus streamlining the process by which sports comply with the requirements of a safe return to sport.

As well as this, revolutioniseSPORT had previously developed a COVID-19 QR code venue check-in tool during the2020 pandemic to allow sports to track attendance at venues.

With state-government-based QR programs potentially being decommissioned in 2022, this will continue to be an important feature within the platform, and its uptake by sports is expected to increase.

Introducing the innovation, revolutioniseSPORT Chief Operating Officer, Nicholas Watkins stated “as rules and requirements are continually being announced for the return to sport, we want to ensure that revolutioniseSPORT is ready to provide this functionality for our customers, so that they have one less thing to worry about.

“Understanding that proof of vaccination is going to put undue stress on local club administrators, creating a digital solution for our customers is an absolute priority for us.

“With a number of state and federal smartphone apps already in place, including those of each state government and Medicare, revolutioniseSPORT is not replicating these structures, but instead working to ensure that once an administrator checks the immunisation status of a member, this can be verified and stored without needing to check each week.”

The feature is expected to be released in time for registrations to begin at the beginning of January 2022.
