OHAHC round 9 -- Sat. 17 June 2023

A rare double-header at home -- plus BBQ! The women play Doncaster at 2:00pm and the men tackle Mentone at 3:30 pm. Come and support the other team!! Round 8 of mixed fortunes: a 3-1 win for the women, but a forfeit given by the men due to a long injury list and unavailable players.

OHAHC round 8 -- Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June

Men away to Frankston 1 at 5:00 pm on Saturday and the women away also, to Hawthorn at 11:00 am on Sunday -- neither timing particularly welcome! Good luck! Last weekend saw the men's team lose 0-3 and the women's team lose 0-2. Oh well, always next week!!

OHAHC round 7 -- Saturday 27-5-23

Both teams playing on Saturday at the same time, 2:00 pm! MM2S playing at home against Frankston 2. WPESE playing at Camberwell against, well, Camberwell! Milestones this weekend: 50 (Jo), 150 (Cal), 250 (Trent) and the big 500 for Macca?! Last week saw a 0-6 loss to Casey (men) and a 2-2 draw with Gtr Dandenong Warriors for the women!

OHAHC round 6 -- Saturday 20 May 2023

First double-header home round for the season! Men at 2:00 pm v Casey and Women at 3:30 pm v Dandenong. Barbecue is on! Results for round 5 -- the men played short and lost 1-5 to Dandy and the women scored a goal with 5 seconds of play left to garner a 2-2 draw with ECHO!! That was close!

An early Saturday match for the men, v. Greater Dandy Warriors at Dandenong, starting at 12:30 pm. The women following up at home at 2:00 pm v. ECHO. Go Bloods! Round 4 results -- a 2-4 loss for the men to Glen Eira in a see-sawing match and our women drew 0-0 to TEM.

The men at home this week, playing Glen Eira, and the women are away at Hawthorn (H-1) playing TEM. Good luck and have fun! Round 3 saw both teams on the wrong side of the score. The women lost 0-3 to Croydon Ranges and the men a narrow 0-1 loss to Mornington. Welcome to three new/returning players for the women's team!

WPESE at home on Saturday to Croydon Ranges at 2:00 pm; MM2S away at PHC on Sunday at 12:30 pm to Mornington/ Cerberus. Test those legs! Previous results: a 0-2 loss to Doncaster for the women and a 6-0 defeat of Southern for the men.

Men at home to Southern at 2:00 pm; women away to Doncaster at 3:30 pm. Go teams!! Round 1 saw an excellent start to the season with a 2-2 draw for the women v. Hawthorn, and a 4-0 win for the men against an undermanned Collegians-X.

Our women's team is up first, playing at Haileybury at 2:00 pm on Saturday 15 April, against Hawthorn. The men follow on Sunday 12:30 pm against Collegians-X at Monash. Season fixture now finalised. Please register with HA/HV -- and OHAHC -- now! Training on Wednesdays at Berwick Secondary College, 8:00 pm. Be there!

Vale Al (Alistair) Blackman

We farewelled Al early in December, after acknowledging his 253 games at our Presentation Lunch in November. Tragic to lose him as a consequence of his epilepsy. Our thoughts remain with his extended family and friends. We will wear black armbands for our round 1 matches to honour him further.

OHAHC round 16 -- Sat. 6 and Sun. 7 August

Our women's team up first, playing at home at Keysborough at 2:00 pm on Saturday against second-top-team Casey. The men on Sunday at 3:30 pm, away to Monash. Play hard and play for the game! Alas, losses last round -- just 1-0 for the women, and a fair 3-0 for the men against the ladder leaders. Great to see Lyndal return to the women's team and play her 150th match!!!

The ladies are playing away against Bayside at 12:40 pm, and the men are home at Haileybury at 2:00 pm against Glen Eira. Both teams battling higher-ranked opponents, so good luck! Last weekend, the men enjoyed a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mentone.

OHAHC round 14 -- Sunday, 24 July

A weekend off for our women's team, but the men will finish the weekend playing Mentone at their ground at 5:00 pm on the Sunday!!! Losses for both teams last weekend: 4-1 for the women and 2-0 for the men. Clark played winter match #700, so that was great!!

OHAHC round 13 -- Saturday, 16 July 2022

Men at home versus Knox at 2:00 pm (will Clark make his 700th game?), and the women playing at Yarra Valley Grammar at 1:30 pm -- note the strange time! Keep up the good work! A narrow 1-0 loss to the men in round 12, playing short. Another ladder-boosting win for our women's team, at 6-1. Great effort!

WPESE are at home on Saturday, playing Monash, while MM2S are playing Frankston at PHC on Sunday! Both matches hit off at 2:00 pm. We've had a week off -- can we continue our winning streaks?! In round 11, the women's team won 3-0 and the men won 5-1 ... great results!

Home again for the women, Saturday at 2:00 pm v. TEM. The men away on Sunday at Southern at 3:30 pm. Keep up the good work!! Both teams won in round 10, a narrow 1-0 win for the women against MHSOB and a crushing 10-0 win for the men against an understrength Collegians-X side.
