This morning, Dragons Abreast Canberra chased the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, celebrating Canberra's 109th birthday. Tico the Sloth was the last novelty balloon to drift in perfect windless conditions.

DBACT Regatta #8 05_03_2022
Thank you to Invictus paddlers for helping us out in the 2 km race. Absolutely fabulous as team PinkVictus. Griffins helped out to paddle in the 200 m 20s as DAGriffs. A wonderful regatta day.
We competed in the Jindabyne Flowing Festival Dragon Boat Regatta held on the weekend 19-20 February 2022. Thanks to Coach Donna, and to Anita as Boat Captain. Thank you to Adrian for some great action shots of the Dragons Abreast Canberra crews. The 2 km race was held on Saturday evening with Lyndall sweeping and Wendy drumming. The 200 m racing was on Sunday with Susan sweeping and Jenny drumming.
Congratulations to Natalie Evans-Sandell, on attaining her Level 3 Sweep accreditation! Natalie passes the DA Canberra guard of honour 19 February 2022.

DBACT Regatta #3 500 m 10s racing went ahead in some windy and cold conditions before being cancelled at lunchtime. We welcomed both Claudia and Kerrie as new members into our crews.
It was all smiles and thumbs up from the Dragons Abreast Canberra crew for our first Saturday morning paddle after coming out of our Canberra COVID-19 lockdown.
