Good News for Dragons Abreast Canberra:
Both Kellie Nissen as our current Dragons Abreast Canberra Coordinator, and Julie Kesby as a former Coordinator were very pleased to accept the $10,000 from Green Shed co-owner Sandie Parkes on 28 December 2022 for our successful Green Shed submission.
Dragons Abreast Canberra, with the generous support of Dragon Boat ACT, is holding its Social & Corporate fundraising regatta on beautiful Lake Burley Griffin on 22 October 2022.
The regatta is perfect for corporate team building or for just having a great day out with your mates.

Dragons Abreast Canberra held their AGM on the 20 August 2022. The Outgoing Committee and non-Committee volunteers were thanked for their service in their respective roles. A new Committee for 2022-2023 was elected.
Clare Purcell was presented with the Dragon Spirit Award for 2022. Many congratulations to Clare - well deserved for her work over ten years including as the New Zealand team manager and Committee, and uniform pool and inventory officer.
We had a lovely “GoAnnas Gathering” at the Ainslie Football Club on June 26th where we learnt more from some of our regatta planning team about sharing the tasks involved in our upcoming Social and Corporate Regatta with the “Join the Circus” theme.
Some fun games before our lunch discovered some great moves and skill from our lion tamers and their prides.

Dragons Abreast Canberra members and friends enjoyed seeing Joan White perform on 4th June in the play Pygmalion (My First Lady was based on George Bernard Shaw’s play).
