Competition against other members of our club in poomsae (patterns), sparring (fighting) and jump kick (highest kicks). Medals and trophies will be presented on the day.

Competing brings life skills, improving teamwork and collaboration and challenging the participant to do better, facilitating a growth mindset and building resilience. This competition will be great preparation for those interested in other competitions during the year, particularly the Sunshine Coast, State Open, Gold Coast Open and Caboolture events.

As this is our club event we strongly encourage parents and others to support by volunteering. Volunteers are encouraged to register by email to president@yunhaptkd.com.au or see Nils Resare on arrival. Tasks are simple and sharing the roles are important.

Entry is $15 and participants must register to take part in the event. Payment can be made either at registration, by bank transfer to BSB 124-021 Account 23002114 or by payment on the day. If paying be bank transfer please email a copy of your payment confirmation to treasurer@yunhaptkd.com.au so we can match the payment to your entry.

- POOMSAE (patterns)

- SPARRING (fighting) - We will match safely giving consideration to age, experience and rank. Only where we think a match is safe will it proceed. Standard rule modifications apply to all competitors under 15 years and additional rule modifications may apply for safety. We're happy to loan gear, except mouthguards, and will have designated first aider people on the day.

- JUMP KICK (highest kick with groups of participants separated by height)
