York Hockey Club (YHC) caters for juniors from Year 3 to Year 12 with games being played on a full-sized hockey pitch. Teams are mixed with all levels of ability welcome. The season is played over 16 weeks with finals being played for all grades. Games are played on Saturday mornings in either Northam or York.

Junior fees are set as low as possible to encourage participation.
YHC junior players are eligible to trial for any Avon Hockey Association (AHA) junior teams competing in any carnivals as decided by AHA.
Each junior team will have a coach and a team manager. Please remember that these people are volunteers and the respect and cooperation of junior players and their parents is required at all times.

We love having parents, family and friends at juniors games to support our teams and we know the kids love it too. We request that any support promotes fair play and respect for others including other players, parents, supporters and officials.

All juniors must wear the following protective equipment for training and games:
A hockey stick is required to play and you will need to provide your own.
YHC is registered for KidSport. For further infomartion regarding KidSport and to check for eligibilty please visit their website : KidSport.
Juniors wishing to play in the senior grades must adhere to the Juniors Playing Seniors Policy and to AHA bylaws. Parents must complete the required form which can be found in the policy.
