An Aquatic Adventure Week is a program designed to give children the opportunity to extend their aquatic adventure experience in a supervised environment! The program aims to challenge and extend the skills of sailors and non-sailors through time on the water and exposure to sailing techniques and different types of craft including spinnakers, trapezes, mono- and multihull dinghies, Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs), kayaks, canoes, windsurfers.
Note: this is not a certificate based, assessable course.
Overview
This is an OutThere Sailing combined course (a combination of OutThere Sailing 1, 2, 3). The combined course enables individual progression accross its duration, whilst allowing friends to remain together.
OutThere Sailing will always be about fun, social engagement and safety.
Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
Course Outcome
By the end of the OutThere Sailing combined course, the participants will achieve the standards of either OutThere Sailing 1, 2, or 3 and have had a lot of FUN with friends!
