About the Course

The cost of this course is $500.00 for 1 adult. It runs from 0900 to 1700 hours with an hour for lunch.

Ever wanted to learn to sail and the time never felt right? Did you learn to sail as a kid and want to get back into it? Well, there is no better time or place to get started than the YMCA Aquatic Recreation Sailing Club. Our adult sailing courses assume no prior knowledge or experience.  The courses combine the Basic Skills 1 and Basic Skills 2 syllabus of the Yachting Australia Training Scheme. On successful completion of a course you will achieve a Basic Skills 2 certificate.  This means you will have skills and knowledge to sail a small boat on your own in controlled conditions (light winds, enclosed waters).

Note: This course is run by the YMCA of Canberra Sailing Club - Not the Canberra Yacht Club Sailing School
