Cross Country Championship Day

As the 2024 Cross Country season comes to a close we will hold our annual Championship Day at our beautiful home ground at Morrison Reserve, Mount Evelyn. The podium will be out and the top 3 boys and girls for each age group will be awarded a medal. Every age group from U6 - U17 will be awarded a medal if they have participated in at least 5 events throughout the season. Any event where your athlete has represented the club such as Relay, Regions or States, will count towards this total. If you are unsure please contact results@yarrarangesathletics.org.au.

5 races will be run during the morning in the usual order but we will separate the medal winners as per their age group. 

Helpers and Marshalls will be needed to help organise the mornings activities. We need time keepers, recorders and a photographer for the mornings presentations. Please consider helping the club, we can't do it without you!

Warm up begins at 8:45am

Racing starts at 9:00am with 5 distances in the following order

Under 6 - 500 metres

Under 7 & 8 - 1000 metres

Under 9 & 10 - 1500 metres

Under 11 & 12 - 2000 metres

Under 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 - 3000 metres
