Match Day!
Wrestling WA is proud to present our first Match Day!
Competing is a skill, just like wrestling, so why don't we practice it more often?
Come join us on 2 June for our Match Day!! This event is for athletes, parents, match officials, and volunteers to come together to review the rules, and have more time on the mat in competition / competition-like scenarios.
REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL for this event! All officials / athletes / volunteers must hold a valid Wrestling WA membership to participate. If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact the association at wa@wrestling.com.au.

9:30am - Rules Update
10am - Warm UP
10:30am: Matches Begin
12pm - End of Day
Competition Format
Athletes will be matched with opponents closest to their weight (and age, for juniors).
Matches will run 2 x 3min for seniors, and 2 x 2min for juniors. In the event of a tech / pin, the referee will call the result, and reset the athletes. This means that athletes will wrestle the entire round regardless of the outcome.
To simulate a competition enviroment, athletes should consider wearing the same uniform that they would usually compete in, i.e. wrestling singlet / rashguard & shorts.
