Wrestling Australia is the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for Wrestling in Australia.

WAL exists to develop wrestling in Australia, including Freestyle, Women’s and Greco-Roman Wrestling as well as the non-Olympic Beach Wrestling, SAMBO and Indigenous styles of Wrestling.

It seeks to encourage and develop the widest participation and highest proficiency in the sport of Olympic Wrestling within Australia.

Through the development of coaches and officials, the Wrestling Australia provides leadership to the sport and enables us to coordinate programs and activities.

The DLGSC is a key partner of Wrestling Western Australia - through their funding programs, the DLGSC supports the daily operation of the association.

The State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Lotterywest are major supporters of Wrestling WA in Western Australia. Sport and recreation creates vibrant, inclusive and connected WA communities.

The DLGSC's grants have made events such as the 2024 Youth National Championships and the 2025 Beach Championships possible.

Carney's Training is the Disability parter of Wrestling WA. Through our partnership with Carney's Training, Wrestling WA has been able to reach out to people who live with disabilities, empowering and including them in our diverse community.

Through Carney's programs, people with disabilities have been provided with opportunities to train and volunteer with the association.
