The last month has been a big one, with Wrestling Academy SA members travelling to Canberra and Sydney to compete against the nation's best, along with several international entrants.

In Canberra was the National Championships for over 16s (seniors, juniors and cadets). Results were:

• Rocco: U17 U20 - 70 & 74kg
• Harlan: U20 Senior - 65kg
• Tayla: Senior - 68kg

In Sydney was the Wrestling Super Series II, which again featured Tayla, Harlan and Rocco. Also competing was Idris, who remains a club member but has now moved to Sydney. Adam attended as coach. Results were:

• Idris: YOUTH (MALE) / 8-9 YEARS / 20-26 KG
• Rocco: CADET (MALE) / 16-17 YEARS / 65-71 KG
• Harlan: JUNIORS (MALE) / 18-20 YEARS / 65-70 KG
• Tayla: OPEN CLASS (FEMALE)

A big congratulations to our outstanding athletes! Wrestling Academy SA was proud to provide financial support for Harlan and Rocco to attend these competitions. Wrestling SA provided financial support for Adam and Tayla to attend as coaches.

Stefan was also at both events refereeing and, as usual, did an excellent job. He continues to impress the international wrestling hierarchy and was recently confirmed as a referee for the next Commonwealth Games. Congratulations Stefan!
