Welcome to Social Sundays delivered by Water Polo Victoria! A program for those 18 years and over who want to give Water Polo a go, learn new skills and play some modified social Water Polo.
Social Sundays is a multiple week social Water Polo program for you to really learn the sport, meet new freinds and have a lot of fun! This program is open to current, and new members. If you are not a current member of Water Polo Victoria, please make sure to register as a 'Bronze' or 'Silver' member before registering. Make sure to click 'New Member' when prompted.
WPV members can dive straight in and lock in your spot via the 'Register' button at the top of this page. (Spaces Limited for entire program!)

Social Sundays is a program designed as an introduction and social program:
- Open to all: Beginners, casual players and experienced players 18+
- Social matches will be played with different, equalised teams' on a week to week basis. So, come as an individual or bring a bunch of mates!
- We are here for a fun time, Social Sundays is a non-competitive, safe space, inclusive of all levels.
- Provides a great opportunity to learn and develop teamwork, aerobic fitness, ball handling, passing and shooting skillsI
- Is fun, challenging, exciting and a chance to meet new people!
- Each session will be delivered by Water Polo Victoria staff and our affiliated club coaches.
- Total cost of the program is $55 for the six week program + a one off membership payment from $15 for new members to register with WPV.
- Please note that there are breaks between several sessions. Make sure to read the program dates carefully!
Social Sundays will include:
- Time to stretch and warm-up
- Oveview and practice of core skills and drills
- Modified & Social Water Polo matches. Teams will change each week!
- Plenty of time to take breaks and ask questions of the coaches
- Optional: Hungry after the session? Just a 10 minute walk away, head to the Limerick Arms in South Melbourne, hang out with new friends and get a free drink with your meal
What to bring:
- Swimwear you are comfortable in
- Towel and warm clothes for after the session
- A drink bottle to keep hydrated
- Enthusiasm and openness to a new and exciting approach to Water Polo.
