Welcome to the Silver Salties Woopi Walk & Talk program! This program is part of Surf Life Saving Australia's Silver Salties initiative, supported by State Centres and funded by Sport Australia through the Move It - Better Ageing Grant. Silver Salties is a physical activity and social connections initiative for older Australians, but all ages are welcome!
The Silver Salties Woopi Walk & Talk program is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment. Led by Program Leader and Woolgoolga SLSC member Colin Morley, all walking paces and abilites are welcome for the coastal walk and you're welcome to stay for a cuppa in the clubhouse at the conclusion of the walk.
There is no fee to be involved, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe. All COVID-19 precautions are also in place i.e. stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc.
The Silver Salties Woopi Walk & Talk program will Commence on October 26 and run until November 27 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 9am. Participants are welcome to attend as often as they can!
