About
Bendigo Region Women's Shed (BRWS) is a not-for-profit incorporated association. The BRWS is a membership-based organisation that provides a space where persons who identify as female can participate in activities, learn and share traditional, cultural and non-traditional skills in a happy and supportive environment. In providing these opportunities, it caters for females of all abilities and cultures including those impacted by loneliness, isolation or other social, health and wellbeing issues.
Bendigo Region Women's Shed has a number of regular activities – woodwork, cards and games, craft activities (sewing/knitting/crochet), a book club and Soul Sistas morning teas and a monthly luncheon. Other activities that group members have enjoyed include – art classes, mosaic workshops, trivia, high tea, pie making, meditation, and a dream catcher workshop.
Annual membership is currently $40 plus a one-off joining fee of $10. Members attending regular activities pay $2 per session or $5 for woodwork. Other activities generally cost between $5 and $25 depending on the resources needing to be purchased to conduct the sessions.
Come along for a “chat and a cuppa”, to meet and make new friends, learn new skills, share your knowledge, or just “chill-out” in friendly company.
