The Wynnum Manly Sailing Club SAGS races are run most Sundays if there is no strong wind warning.
The event is run at the WMYC at 542 Royal Esplanade Manly.

Sags is a pursuit format event. Casual and series entries are available. The two series for 2025 span Feb to June and July to November.  Races are not conducted on Easter Sunday and the 3 Sundays of club signature regattas. (Calendar here)
Loose luff sails including spinnakers are optional and the handicap is adjusted accordingly. The choice to use loose luff sails in a series is set at the series entry.

We meet in the WMYC Clubhouse between 11:30am and 11:45 for event sign on and briefing. The briefing is 11:30am Sharp.

All Skippers and Crew must be a member of an Australian Sailing Affiliated club, or they must purchase a SailPass on the WMSC website prior to the event. This will give them a one-day introductory membership of Wynnum Manly Sailing Club and of Australia Sailing. The process for this is detailed in the website page  Getting started in sailing.
All attendees must provide emergency contact, mobile and email details when applying for a SailPass..

WMSC welcomes novice visitors to SAGS. Our Skippers are welcoming of guest crew both novice and experienced. Providing a sail to guests is at the absolute discretion of skippers so WMSC cannot guarantee visitors will get a sail on a given Sunday. That said it is extraordinarily rare for a visitor to miss out on a sail.

Guest Crew Visitors at SAGs can prepurchase a SailPass. All visitor enquires to wmsc@wynnummanlysailingclub.com.au

Crew Visitors are advised to bring Lunch, water, warm clothes, spray Jacket etc, non- marking deck shoes and sunscreen.
