MOTIONS
Members will be asked to accept the Annual Report and the Treasurer’s Report, to elect the committee for the coming year, and thank departing committee members. Club members will also have the opportunity to discuss club activities.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE ELECTION OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS, 2024-25
Elections will be held for the following positions which will become vacant at the Annual General Meeting on 18th August 2024: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Ordinary Committee Members (up to four). If you are a club member and would like to nominate for election to the management committee please complete the attached form and email or post it to the Secretary, Wynnum Manly Sailing Club (wmsc@wynnummanlysailingclub.com.au or PO BOX 6050, MANLY, QLD, 4179) no later than Friday 2 August 2024. Nominations must be supported by two club members.
WHAT’S EXPECTED OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS?
- Be part of the team that plans and manages the club’s calendar of racing events
- Attend six meetings each year (4 x committee meetings, 1 x general and 1 x annual general meeting)
- Participate in running the club by taking on responsibility for one or more specific portfolios (ie Australian Sailing Rep, Secretary, Sponsorship Manager, Promotions Coordinator, etc)
