Training for beginners and intermediates, suitable for all ages.

Be ready to start at 10am (Should be finished before 1pm)

This event will be pre-registration only and numbers will be limited. Club members will have priority entry.

There will be some reading/computer links emailed out pre event to help get you started on understanding what is on an Orienteering map.

We will look at map symbols and colours, comparing what you see on the map to what you see on the ground. We will practice orientating a map, using a compass and thumbing a map.  There will be controls out, but we won't be timing as the focus will be on taking time to learn some of the basic concepts underpinning navigation-map-sports. 

Fee for the event - member $5 per person or $15 per family (nonmembers $10 per peron or $25 per family)
