Summer Series Finally Underway

Published Mon 27 Feb 2017

After the Westernport Challenge re-sail and 2 blow outs in a row, our Summer Series finally got underway today.

With the breeze coming in from the east, sailing officer Anthony Cook set a starboard course that initially proved very difficult as the wind swung to the north and  was flukey for 20 minutes before settling in in the south-east.

For the second race the course was reversed but working out the finish proved tricky for some (catamaran) sailors!

By the third race everyone had the course worked out.

There was some competitive racing throughout the day with Glenn Douglas coming out on top in the catamarans and Bryan Hill just having the better of Alan Bryson in some close finishes.
