It was a day for the hardy as the season got underway with the first three races of the Spring Series.  Glen Douglas unveiled his new A-Class and managed to keep it upright and going pretty fast (even though he rigged it with the boom upside down!)  

Bryan Hill and Josh Franke were having a great battle in the Sabres until Bryan's tiller extention fell off.  You would think by now Bryan would have had his off-season maintenance routine down pat!  Adam Smith turned up without a crew so took the club's Micron for a spin.  Along with Phil Balcombe he decided it would be a good day for a swim - well, bracing anyway.

As for the results, Wendy Wilson showed the benefits of the winter coaching program and cleaned up the Sabre Division.  Glen Douglas and Steve Cross/Lynn Dugay had a great battle in Division 1 and Col Franke needs some competiton in Division 2.
