Montalto WoW Regatta - all you need to know

Published Sat 05 Nov 2016

The yacht club will be open from 12noon on Friday for those wanting to drop their boats off early. Arrangements have been made to park all trailers in the adjacent camping reserve. On arrival please note that no vehicles will be allowed into the yacht club grounds and we ask that you kindly unload your boat prior to entering the yacht club. There will be volunteers who will assist and let’s make this a smooth operation for all involved.

A few important sailing notes:

How to find us-

We are located at the end of Balnarring Beach Rd. Turn left at the general store, Foreshore rd (dirt road). There will be tear drop banners displayed at the general store to help you find your way. If you can’t find your way just ask at the general store.

Sailing instructions

These are attached below

Registration

Will be from 8am upstairs in the club house.

Please come and register as early as possible as briefing will commence at 9am sharp

Lunch orders will also be available at the same time. You can order salad rolls with or without meat, fruit salad in a cup and for our sweet tooths a muffin or cake, YUMMY!

Coffee

Charisma Coffee Vans will be selling coffee Saturday and Sunday morning from their mobile coffee van. Enjoy a latte, cappuccino or chai latte sitting on the deck overlooking the view of Philip Island, nothing could be more spectacular (other than the Mediterranean).

Dinner

Don’t forget a scrumptious meal will be provided by our male volunteers (can we trust them?), which will be perfectly cooked and presented to a sailor’s satisfaction. No one will go home hungry J

This year we have very healthy options available to suit everyone’s dietary needs

There are still a few dinner vacancies available, so if you need more tickets please book here

Weather…

At this stage according to our local weather map, the weekend is looking good with mild weather conditions and a mix of light to windy conditions. On Saturday it is looking to be a little on the windy side but we still want you all to come along as we have plenty of off-water coaching and activities planned.  Sunday is looking great and lets hope the dolphin’s come out to play again J

Coaches

We have a fantastic team of coaches this year who are all eager for the upcoming event and I can’t wait to see you all improve over the weekend
