Lovely to receive a report from Xavier Vandame that his son Hugo is competing in the very competitive Bic series in France. 

There were 4 races today in 15 to 20 knots breeze.  Hugo is still struggling a bit with the boat handling - which is to be expected for his first time in a big fleet.  Hugo has often in the top 5 or 10 at the top mark and then losing ground due to inexperience with the boat. Neverteless he finished 12th in one race today after 2 capsizes downwind!  Overall a great performance against kids that have sailed this boat non-stop for the past 2 or 3 years.

Tonight Hugo is placed 17th / 50 overall.
