Thanks to his performance at the 2019 Gill Australian Optimist Championships, Hugo has been offered a Development Squad position within the Australian Optimist Sailing Team. This is a great achievement, rewarding his efforts! It means he will have some training camps with the AOST team (first one being 3 days in Adelaide mid Feb) and he has earned a spot to compete in an Asian International regatta in Thailand end of October. Training has started again in Brighton (2 to 3 times a week). The next important regattas are The George Mac in Brighton end-Feb, the VIC Youth Champ in Blairgowrie beg-March, the States titles in Blairgowrie mid-March and the NZ Nationals in Auckland mid-April.
