Simon Spalding took the honours in today's Commodore's Cup heat, making the most of the stiff south-easterly breeze and waves to finisih comfortably ahead of Mark Axton and Alexander Jurovic / Adam Smith. The conditions tested all the competitors with Vincent Cross & Will Fleming and Col Franke capsizing whilst well placed in the field. Kai Smith jumped on board the Taipan with Andrew Hill and got a surprise swim when the trapeze wire broke!
We also had a good turnout of visitors from Lakeside Sailing Club in Pakenham who sailed very well in quite foreign conditions.
