Tom Waters is a UK saxophone prodigy & Geoff Achison an icon of the Australian Blues scene who hails from Frankston. The pair first met on Geoff’s last UK tour when, performing near Tom’s home in Dorset, they were introduced by mutual friends. They wound up playing together and the audience reaction was such that they decided to do it again….this time in Australia! So, here they find themselves at the Westernport Yacht Club on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula conducting a tour dedicated to the late Jeff Beck who composed the song that the tour is named after. It’s a number that Geoff loves playing and Tom has actually played with Jeff Beck at London’s Ronnie Scott’s.
“Brush with the Blues” is a unique showcase of Blues, Country, Rock & Funky Jazz. Both artists bring their own catalogues of original music to the project and will play them alongside some classic roots gems in a celebration of their amazing musical talents.
