The Werribee Softball Association was established in 1979 to accommodate two girl’s teams that had to travel to Geelong each week to play softball.
A meeting was organised with the parents and relevant authorities and it was this group who was responsible for the foundation of the Werribee Softball Association. At that time only females were allowed to play. Men were admitted to the game in 1987.
The Association quickly grew to seven clubs and played behind the Werribee High School for two years before moving to an area between the Werribee Racecourse and the Recreation Centre (now known as Eagle Stadium).
In 1993 the Association moved to Presidents Park where today we have ten permanent diamonds.
The Werribee Softball Association caters for the entire family, from Softball Batter Up & Fully Loaded T-Ball (age 4-12 years), Sub-Junior (age 7-12 years), Junior (age 13-17 years) to Senior (ages 18+) players.
We have a proud history of producing State and National Representatives in the form of both players and officials.
Come and join the Werribee Softball Association (Werribee Redsox) family!
