Congratulations Peter Bastow - Winner Jason Davies Award 2025

Published Sun 06 Apr 2025

Wenty Leagues Squash Club is proud to congratulate our No. 1 player, Peter Bastow, on being awarded the Jason Davies Award at the 2025 Bathurst Masters Tournament over the weekend.

This prestigious award honours the memory of Jason Davies, a much-loved member of NSW Masters Squash who served as Secretary from 2013 to 2016. Jason was known for his tireless dedication, often rising early to complete his voluntary work before heading to his full-time job. He tragically passed away in 2016 at a young age. Jason grew up in Bathurst and was a proud junior representative for his high school squash team.

The Jason Davies Award is presented each year at the Bathurst Masters to the player who has attended and won the most matches between two consecutive Bathurst Masters tournaments (excluding forfeits). Past recipients include Richard Gatty, Tanya Bailey, and Susan McMahon.

Peter’s achievement is due to his consistency, determination, and love for the game. We’re thrilled to see his efforts recognised and celebrate this well-earned milestone with him.

Well done, Peter!
