Special Announcement: New Secretary Appointment at WLSC
I am pleased to announce that on Thursday, 10th October, Bernard Worsley officially accepted the role of Secretary for Wenty Leagues Squash Club. We are fortunate to have Bernard take on this important position, and I’m confident he will excel in supporting our club’s activities.
On behalf of the Squash Committee, we look forward to working together to continue making our club a great place for everyone.
Squash Australia Membership Renewal Email
You may have recently received an email from Squash Australia regarding the renewal of your membership for the 2024/2025 season, which may have caused some confusion by suggesting memberships are incomplete.
Rest assured; all of our members are fully financial. The competition fees you paid in June/July for the Spring Pennant 2024 included your Squash Australia & Squash NSW membership fees, which have already been processed.
I am following up with Squash Australia to resolve the confusion and will keep you updated. There is no action required from you at this time.

Rules Night 2024 Attendance Points Update
For those wondering about the allocation of attendance points for Rules Night on 16th September, I submitted all the names of the attendees the following morning but as yet, the points are not showing up on Sporty HQ.
I’ve been in contact with Zoe Collins from Squash NSW to request 4 competition points for each player who attended the session and hopefully, these points will be added soon. I will keep you informed as soon as I receive confirmation.

Just a reminder about the Player of the Year award, which spans both Autumn and Spring Pennants. Points are awarded based on match results, and the winner will be announced at our Annual Presentation & Dinner in March 2025, receiving the Elwyn Griffiths Memorial Trophy.

WLSC 2025 Calendar of Events
Our committee is busy planning the WLSC 2025 Calendar, which will include social events, coaching clinics, inter-club challenges, presentation nights, meetings and more.
We are just waiting on Squash Australia, Squash NSW, and NSW Squash Masters Association to finalize their schedules before we lock in our dates but we anticipate the WLSC 2025 Calendar will be released by mid to late November.
In 2024, we had Club Legend Rob Spooner feature on the cover. So, who will feature in the 2025 calendar? I can give you a clue, it’s some who’s younger than Rob. Stay tuned for the big reveal coming soon!
