SOCIAL DAY 5.0 21/04/2024

What a great response! This was our 2nd SOLD-OUT Social Day with a full house of 36 players featuring 29 Autumn Pennant players plus 4 former members Sam Abdallah, Tam Ngo, Blake March & Liam Naaman, and 3 friends of WLSC, Joy Connolly (Baulkham Hills), Teddy Ragg (Springwood) and Sam Aiello (Croydon Park).

The Social Day format is such that everyone plays 3 matches in just 2½ hours on 6 courts. Yes, it was a bit chaotic but we made it!

This Social Day, we reverted back to the double-yellow dot ball for all matches and we kept playing LONG (past the service line) for players with a HQ rating more than 150 of their opponent to make the matches closer with less “3-shot squash”.

The winning prize was presented by Social Day 4.0 winner Yeu Pham and so congratulations to Cole who joins the WLSC Social Day “Hall of Fame” along with previous winners Anne Bennett & Peter Bastow.

The traditional Social Day group photo will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Wenty Leagues Club Journal. Thanks to everyone for wearing the WLSC playing shirt. 

Thank you to all Pennant players, family members, and friends for supporting the day. But most of all, thanks for playing the game in the right spirit and having fun. Hopefully, you met someone new and made another friend, and really that’s the purpose of Social Day.

We look forward to seeing everyone back again for our inaugural Social Night 1.0 on Wednesday 17 July 2024 at 7.00PM.
