We are expecting the cost of the damage to be quite extensive, although at present we will not understand the true extent until it is safe to re-enter the club. Currently the only access into the club is with council’s permission, until the area can be completely and thoroughly assessed.

Our club aims to provide equity for everyone who uses our facility, we want people to enjoy their experience, but also feel safe. Social and emotional wellbeing is an important focus for our club, and we believe the support and connections made through the club provide people with benefits that extend beyond participating in physical activity.

In the meantime, we now start applying for grants and we have set up a fundraising page through the Australian Sports Foundation which people can donate to (fully tax deductible). So please share the link with your friends and families and try and raise as many funds as we can to support the flood recovery.
