On Friday 18 February at Club DaVinci, Fiona Howard won the 2021 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M 30th Annual Northern Mallee Master Athlete of the Year award.
Flo’s nomination included the long list of accolades she had received throughout what was a tough year. She won Gold in both the 1km and 2km races in the Australian Indoor Rowing Championships; she won Bronze in the Australian Masters Rowing Championships in the Coxed Club Mixed Four, where she also won Silver in the Mixed Double (with hubby Darren!)
Flo was also nominated for being a great role model, she is inclusive, fair, approachable, caring and a leader – someone you look up to. Flo is dedicated, goal driven, hardworking but also likes to have fun.
