Australian Indoor Rowing Championships 2022

Published Wed 16 Nov 2022

On Saturday 29 October the Wentworth Rowing Club participated in the 2022 Australian Indoor Rowing Championships. We had 8 participants, which included 4 junior members, who have only been rowing on land (yet to try water) since August and 4 Senior Members.

The event is run in all Capital Cities, but there is an opportunity for clubs to also race virtually. Which is what we did!

Our temporary club rooms at the McLeod Oval were transformed into a hub of technology and provided a great location for the day.

It was great to see a mix of new and long-standing members, as well as young and wiser (certainly not old!!). Everyone supported each other and having the families of the junior members added atmosphere and excitement!

It was a super awesome effort by every single rower and we finished the competition with 5 medals!
