Our Culture
At the West Coburg Redbacks we value an inclusive and supportive community above anything else. We believe if we get the environment right then success of all forms will follow..
What’s T-Ball?
T-Ball is a modified softball game where players hit a ball off of a stand rather than hitting a moving pitch and introduces the fundamentals of softball to young participants and their families. T-Ball is commonly played in schools in Victoria.
Home Run Heroes is a further modified version of T-Ball and designed to engage our youngest participants.
Who Can Play?
Our T-Ball program is designed for kids between the ages of 4 and 10 years old. We have an Under 6 and Under 10 program.
When We Play?
When don't we play! Our T-Ball program is run:
- in Term 3 on a Monday evening
- in Term 1 and 4 on a Tuesday evening
- from October to March on Saturday mornings
so you can choose the program that best suits your family.
Dates and Times for each program is as follows:
Under 6 Home Run Heroes
Term 3 - Monday 2 September 2024 and finishes on Monday 23 September 2024 and runs from 4.30pm to 5.30pm
Term 4 - Tuesday 22 October 2024 and finishes on Tuesday 26 November 2024 and runs from 5pm to 6pm.
Term 1 - Tuesday 11 February 2025 and finishes on Tuesday 18 March 2025 and runs from 5pm to 6pm.
Under 10 T-Ball
Term 3 - Monday 2 September 2024 and finishes on Monday 23 September 2024 and runs from 4.30pm to 6.00pm
Term 4 - Tuesday 15 October 2024 and finishes on Tuesday 3 December 2024 and runs from 5pm to 6.30pm.
Term 1 - Tuesday 4 February 2025 and finishes on Tuesday 25 March 2025 and runs from 5pm to 6.30pm.
Saturday Morning T-Ball
For ages 4-10 years old.
Commences Saturday 12 October 2024 and finishes on Saturday 29 March 2025 and runs from 8.30am to 9.15am
Where We Play?
For Monday evening Home Run Heroes and T-Ball we play at Parker Reserve Coburg North on the open space to the south of the baseball diamond.
For Tuesday evening Home Run Heroes and T-Ball we play at the Softball diamonds at Keilor Park Recreation Reserve.
For Saturday morning T-Ball we play in the North West Softball League with teams from Hume City Softball Association (18 Rhyolite Drive Craigieburn), Northern Districts Softball Association (Mill Park Recreation Reserve) and Sunshine Softball Association (More Park) on Saturdays.
What You Need to Play?
You’ll need to wear something your comfortable to exercise in, we’ll have all the gear for you to use until you are ready to buy your own.
How Much Are Playing Fees?
Our fees for 2024/25 season are as follows:
- Home Run Heroes: $50 per Term
- Tuesday T-Ball: $60 per Term
- Saturday Morning T-Ball (4-10 years old): $90 per year
If you register for Saturday Morning T-Ball this will include your fee for Term 3 and Term 4 2024 and Term 1 2025 Tuesday night Home Run Heroes and T-Ball.
