JUSTIN ZELONES

Fast Facts about Justin...

Nickname: JZ

Experience: Started playing in 1983 and coaching in 1988. 

Favourite Playing Position: 3rd Base

Favourite Part of the Game: The strategy

Why I First Started Playing: My mum thought it would be a good place for me to make friends and burn off some energy.

BELLISA FAIRBAIRN-ROSE

Fast Facts about Belle...

Nickname: Belle

Experience: Playing since 2007 (club, district, state) and coaching since 2010.

Favourite Playing Position: 1st Base

Favourite Part of the Game: Coaching and watching people fall in love with the sport

Why I First Started Playing: Played at school and joined my local club after enjoying it.

CASEY NEWELL

Fast Facts about Casey...

Nickname: I need a nickname please help!

Experience: Have played for over 10 years starting in Wagga Wagga representing at state championships and high school competitions.  I have coached U12 and U14 teams.

Favourite Playing Position: Catcher and Short Stop

Favourite Part of the Game: I enjoy the defensive aspects and working with team mates to execute strategy.

Why I First Started Playing: My mum loved watching baseball when I was young and decided that she would sign me up for T-Ball and I have never looked back.

WYATT SHANAHAN

Fast Facts about Wyatt...

Nickname: Shana

Experience: Playing since 2021 and represented Victoria in the U14 and U16 National Championships.

Favourite Playing Position: 1st Base

Favourite Part of the Game: Getting people out

Why I First Started Playing: Played at school and found it fun

ZAINE PARKINSON

Fast Facts about Zaine...

Nickname: Zaino

Experience: Playing since 2021 and represented Victoria in the U14 and U16 National Championships.  Zaine has recently been selected for the School Sport Victoria U18 team playing in the School Sport Australia Nationals on the Gold Coast in July 2024.  

Favourite Playing Position: Centrefield

Favourite Part of the Game: The people and fielding

Why I First Started Playing: I played at school where Justin was coaching and my mates were signing up and I didn't want to be left out

DIANA PERRE

Fast Facts about Diana...

Nickname: Dee

Experience: Playing since 2023 at club, masters and state championships.

Favourite Playing Position: I play everywhere but I am trying to specialise at 3rd Base

Favourite Part of the Game: I love eveything about softball but mostly the team atmosphere and the opportunity to give anything (and everything!) a go

Why I First Started Playing: Because my son and husband had started playing and I wanted to join in to

ROBERT PERRE

Fast Facts about Robert...

Nickname: Rambo

Experience: Playing since 2022 at club and masters.

Favourite Playing Position: Anywhere in the outfield where I can utilise my speed to chase down hits and threaten runners to try to take another base.

Favourite Part of the Game: Team environment, enjoy the atmosphere created by team mates and the thrill of competition.

Why I First Started Playing: Joined the Redbacks after my son started Home Run Heroes with them and found it to be a great place to be around.
