Wide Bay Rowing Club's favourite Big River Rowing event, The Hyne Timber B2B, is on the move north to Bucca!
The 2022 Floods left our club without a viable pontoon. This saw the cancellation of our beloved distance regatta, The Bridge to Bridge, for 2022. Despite still not having a replacement pontoon, we don't want to miss out again in 2023. Thanks to the generosity of Bundberg Rowing Club, we are able to take the event 'On Tour', and head an hour up the road to hold it at the beautiful facilities of the Bucca Rowing Centre.
A race briefing will be held at 11:00am on the Saturday with an 11:30am start/possible 4:30pm finish for our alternative B2B regatta. BRC will have a full canteen operating for Saturday and breakfast on Sunday (EFTPOS facilities available). Saturday evening sees BRC hosting a Dinner & Dessert for $25 per head. Please pre-book and pay directly to BRC (see Food and Accommodation flyer for details). WBRC will have drinks for sale (EFTPOS facilities will be available on the night). A fun morning of short course racing with a possible Henley style regatta will be held on the Sunday before everyone heads home. All catagories of boats will be catered for. So get your teams together and join WBRC and BRC for a great weekend of racing.
