2023 Hyne Timber Bridge to Bridge Regatta

Wide Bay Rowing Club's favourite Big River Rowing event, The Hyne Timber B2B, is on the move north to Bucca!

The 2022 Floods has left our club without a viable pontoon.  Thanks to the generosity of Bundaberg Rowing Club, we are able to take the event 'On Tour' and head an hour up the road to hold it at the beautiful facilities of the Bucca Rowing Centre.

Details are still being worked on and updates will be provided as they happen.  A race briefing will be held at 11:00am on Saturday 12th of August with an 11:30am start/possible 4:30pm finish for our alternative B2B regatta. 

Seat fees for the event include a regatta shirt and cover you for both Saturday and Sunday events.

Seniors Seat Fees:  $50                         Junior Seat Fees:  $35

Bundaberg Rowing Club will be hosting dinner at Bucca Rowing Centre directly after the B2B to celebrate new and old friendships and swap tall stories.  This will be a Buffet Dinner with Desert for $25 per head.  Pre-booking required. Email bundabergrowingsecretary@gmail.com or text 0428335383.  Please include any dietary requirements.  Payment for dinner can be made directly to BRC:  Bank account details;  BSB 645646  ACC 105929379  (Please include name as reference).

Wide Bay Rowing Club will be running a bar on the night with EFTPOS facilities available.

A fun morning of short course racing with a possible Henley style regatta and novelty races (parent/child, husband/wife) will be held on Sunday 13th of August before everyone heads home.  All categories of boats will be catered for. 

So, get your teams together and join WBRC and BRC for a great weekend of racing.  Everyone is welcome to participate in this race, we have events for school boys and girls, all the way through to masters.  All boat categories are welcome, though coxed boats are recommended for those new to the river!

Helping Wide Bay Rowing Club and Maryborough State High School re-establish School Rowing in the Wide Bay Region.

 Maryborough State High School – An Independent Public School, rowing again after 15 years break in activities on the water.  Students are assisting with the regatta management through their Hospitality, Marine Studies and Business Management courses at the high school.  They will also have crews in the time trial.
