We Support
The Dolphins Hockey Academy Development Program has been established to provide junior hockey athletes in our area with quality training and development opportunities.
The initial 10 weeks onfield training will be led by experienced local coaches and when possible, state and national level players, at our Narrabeen venue.
The program has common training goals, skill development and drills offered to our identified pathway athletes delivered in an engaging and supportive environment with groups of matched ability. This will suit players who are starting their hockey journey through to more experienced athletes looking to achieve their representative goals.
This program provides participants the opportunity to be identified and progress to our successful pathway academy program.
Sessions will be once per week, for 1.5 hours (depending on group numbers, this may increase to 2 hours) The course begins in week 1, term 4 and will run for 10 weeks. Positions are limited to ensure coach to athlete ratios support development goals. Every registered player will receive a training top and socks.
All players will be assessed in the first week of training to make sure they are placed in the correct group setting to begin thier Dolphins Journey.
The timetable will be as follows:
Monday nights:
7:30 - 9pm: Goalkeepers
Tuesday nights:
5 - 6:30pm: Intermediate level (U/12 experienced players)
6:30 - 8pm: Skilled level (u/14 - u/16 experienced players)
8- 9:30pm: Advanced level (u/18 - u/21 experienced players)
Wednesday nights:
5 - 6:30pm Beginner Level (11 years and younger or those new to hockey)
Thursday nights:
5 - 6:30pm: Intermediate level (U/12 experienced players)
6:30 - 8pm: Skilled level (u/14 - u/16 experienced players)
8- 9:30pm: Advanced level (u/18 - u/21 experienced players)
Friday:
6 - 7:30pm: Opens (adults returning to hockey)
7:30 - 9pm: Opens (adult development for experienced players)
