Peter Mosse is organising a VSAG trip to Eaglehawk Neck Tasmania, diving with Go Dive.

Details are as follows:

Dates

Monday March 17th to Friday March 21st with the possible option to extend to Saturday March 22nd.

Costs

$140 per double dive if we get 8 divers total. (Total per diver $700)

$150 per double dive if we only get 5 divers total. (Total per diver $750)

Registration will be limited to 8 divers. But the registration form on RevSport will include a wait list in case of cancellations or much higher demand in which case it might be possible to organize two shifts with the dive boat.

Necessary Experience

Most dives will be over 30 m so some deep diving experience is recommended. Preferably you should have Deep Diver qualification or experience with dives over 30 m.

Diving Conditions

Water temperature will be approximately 16-18 degrees Celsius.

Wind and swell, who knows but diving is likely to be possible on most days.

Deposit

A deposit of $280 will be required prior to November 30th 2024. Once you register on RevSport you will be invoiced for this amount.

Equipment

Weight belts and tanks (12L and 15L) are available for hire from Go Dive. Alternatively, you can bring all your own gear in which case you will only need to pay for your air fills.

Nitrox is not available.

Once you have registered, I will contact you to ask what equipment you wish to hire.

We could plan a couple of group BBQs (BYO food and drink) at the Dive Centre during the trip.

Other Activities

Plenty of beaches and coastal walks.

Also the historic coal mines ruins at Saltwater Creek are well worth a visit.

And of course, Port Arthur itself.
