Another month has passed, and it is time for our monthly club meeting at the Clare Castle 7pm for a meal, 8pm start.

NOTE: You must book to attend at the Clare Castle. We are limited by room size from the venue.

8pm: Recap agenda and introduction to our guest speaker;

• Jim Dyer - Master Class - making underwater videos using GoPro
  • Many in the Club will have met Jim through some of the training events that we have run (Gear Configuration, Gear Maintenance). In addition to his incredible knowledge and experience about scuba diving, both in an out of the water, Jim is a very experienced underwater videographer using a standard, off-the-shelf GoPro. I am told that on many dive trips, Jim has blown the big, expensive rigs out of the water (dive joke) with the clips he has captured. Jim has very kindly offered to present to the Club some of the tips and tricks for using this relatively inexpensive and readily accessible camera to make high quality underwater movies. He will discuss what you need on your reg, how to think about composing and framing your clips and will provide examples of his own work and what he did to capture them. Given the step up from a GoPro can end up costing thousands and thousands of dollars, this could be one of the most cost-effective Club meetings that you ever attend. I look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday at the Clare Castle - either in person or on the big telly.
