This month we are lucky to have Dr John Lippman dialling in to give a presentation on Diver Safety and Health. John has asked that we do not record his presentation so if you want to hear it, you will have to be on the call.

In conjunction with the Australian Diving Safety Foundation (ADSF), John has just published a fantastic booklet on Decompression Illness that follows on from his Diving Emergency Handbook. John has kindly sent VSAG 30 copies of this excellent booklet which I am happy to bring along to any dives, Club Meetings or Club Events when they are back on the agenda. If you want one, please let me know and I’ll find a way to get one to you.

I can also let you know that we had the inaugural meeting of the new Committee for 2021/2022 last week and there is a lot happening behind the scenes that you will start to see the impact of once the restrictions ease. And a very sobering (or not) thought is that the VSAG Xmas Party at Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron is only 8 WEEKS AWAY on Sat 11 December. Arthur is leading the charge on the catering for this with a spit-roast lamb on the menu as the foundation for an awesome Greek banquet.

I hope to see you all on the Brady Bunch screen on Tuesday and I know that I, for one, am starting to get excited with summer coming, restrictions going, and a Club full of mad, keen divers wanting to make up for lost time. My plan is to make this entire summer a massive dive event for the Club to remember!
