COACH PROFILES

Ross Sullivan was a teacher at Ballarat Grammar for over 40 years. He has played locally in Ballarat and at Australian and World Masters level.

For many years he was Victoria's U21 Women's Coach and has spent time as an assistant coach for various Australian Women's National teams at underage and senior level.

Ross has also completed a number of stints as a mentor coach in NCAA University Programs including Oregon State and Colorado State.

Tamsin Hinchley transitioned from rowing to volleyball as a student at Ballarat Grammar (coached by Ross).

She went on to play in the Australian Women's Indoor team at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and played for a number of years in the European Professional Leagues.

After tearing her meniscus and missing the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, Tamsin transitioned from hard court volleyball to beach volleyball and won the 2005/2006 National Title with Sydney 2000 gold medallist Natalie Cook.

Together they placed fifth in Beijing in 2008 before being knocked out in the group stage of the London 2012 Games.

Tamsin is active in coaching in Melbourne but is looking forward to returning to her home city to pass on her knowledge to the next generation.
