Shimpan and Volunteer Seminar

A Shimpan and Volunteer Seminar and Briefing will be held on Sunday 4 August, 12:30-5:00pm at the Kenshikan. 

All Shimpan and Competitors (3 Dan and above) are expected to attend to ensure we have sufficient, trained Shimpan available for the smooth running of the Victorian Kendo Championships. In particular, the Seminar will provide an refresh on the Provisional (COVID-safe) Tsubazeriai rules. 

Schedule: 

• 12.30pm - Volunteers and Shiai-sha arrive for shinai 'check-in' and registration 
• 12.45pm - Shimpan arrive / Shiai-sha warm-up 
• 1pm - Seminar and shiai starts 
• 4.30pm - Close 

Please attend in Shimpan uniform or Keiko-gi and Hakama and bring your own Shimpan flags if possible.
