Shinpan and Volunteer Seminar

A Shinpan and Volunteer Seminar and Briefing will be held on Saturday 29 July, 1.30-4.30pm at the Kenshikan. It will be conducted by the Victorian Kendo Technical Committee. 

All Shinpan and Competitors (3 Dan and above) are expected to attend to ensure we have sufficient, trained Shinpan available for the smooth running of the Victorian Kendo Championships. In particular, the Seminar will provide a reminder of COVID-safe Tsubazeriai rules. 

Schedule: 

• 1.00pm - Shiai-sha arrive
• 1.15pm - Shinpan arrive / Shiai-sha warm-up 
• 1.30pm - Seminar and shiai starts 
• 4.30pm - Shinpan Seminar Close
• 4.30-5.30pm - Club Leaders Meeting (Senior Instructors/Club Leaders only)

Please attend in Shinpan uniform or Keiko-gi and Hakama and bring your own Shinpan flags if possible. 

Note: A meeting of all club leaders/senior instructors will take please immediately after the seminar. This will focus on Shiai-sha procedure and ensuring that all Clubs are aware of requirements for shiai.
