Welcome to Falls Creek’s inaugural freeride event!
Open to both skiers and snowboarders with an advanced riding skill level, athletes will have the opportunity to paint a picture on the slopes and show off their riding style. Judges will be looking at line choice, control, technique, fluidity as well as air and style.
The sport of Freeride has been growing substantially over the years with junior and open events occurring across the globe. Join in on the fun and excitement of this inaugural event and see what the sport of Freeride has to offer!
Skiers and boarders are rewarded for using the terrain creatively as they navigate through the iconic Cabbage Patch black terrain featuring cliffs, airs, moguls, and anything else the mountain can throw at them. The terrain chosen has a designated start location, left and right boundaries, and a finish line. Where competitors go is up to them.
The age categories for this event are Juniors 10-14 and Juniors 15-18.
