We are pleased to announce the following event and hope that you are able to participate:

UWA Judo Club Competition

Sunday 24th November 2019

Venue: UWA Claremont Campus Gymnasium: Cnr Goldsworthy Road & Agett Road, Claremont

Weigh-in: 9:00 am

Competition start: 9.30 am

This tournament is focused on giving competitors the opportunity to learn and experience the rules and procedures of a judo competition in a friendly, fun and supportive atmosphere. 

Competitors will be matched to others of similar age, weight and competition experience. All juniors and seniors are encouraged to enter.

For the first time, there will be an inter school team competition available to all primary schools in our Schools2Dojo program. The primary school teams will be selected, trained, coached and supported by our volunteer elite judo players who coach at their nominated primary school. Teams can be made of any age, belt ranking, gender and weight, as long as the collective team age does not exceed 35 years. Divisions will be created based on age and weight, with the school winning the most matches taking first place.  Apart from valuable competition experience for our judoka, this event will also give our elite players a chance to gain experience as a coach, mentor and team manager.

Please ensure an accurate weight measurement is provided in the online entry (wearing judogi pants and T-shirt/rash-guard) . On the day of competition, judoka must weigh in within 10% of their nominated weight, otherwise their entry will be forefited. Scales are available at the dojo if required.

A short rules seminar and interactive demonstration will be held immediately prior to the competition.

Club membership, online registration and payment is required prior to the event. No late entries will be accepted.
