Nage no kata masterclass with Keith Durrant
Event information
Keith Durrant is a Canadian judoka who lived and worked in Japan for over 35 years. During his time there, Keith became the first foreign judo practitioner in the history of the Japanese Judo Federation and in the 140-year history of the Kodokan to have earned 7 consecutive Kodokan black belt dan grades through competition.
Keith will be at UWA Judo Club to conduct a Nage no kata masterclass, open to the wider judo community. Keith has learnt and performed all his kata examinations at the Kodokan with many great teachers such as Kotani Sensei 10th dan, Toshiro Daigo 10th dan, Shiro Yamamoto 9th dan, Katsuyoshi Takata 9th dan, Tsuneo Sengoku 8th Dan and Trudy Maduz 6th dan.
