Shenton College Rowing Program 

Hosted out of UWABC in Matilda Bay, open to all Shenton College students Years 9 - 12.

 

Rowing is the ultimate team sport that creates lifelong friends and memories through fun, supportive and hard working training and racing. The Shenton College rowing program is hosted and supported through the University of WA Boat Club (UWABC) and competitions are held by Rowing WA (RWA). The Shenton Rowing Program season runs from Feb 10th (Year 10s & Seniors) / Feb 24th (Year 9s) till Aug 9th 2025.

 

2024 All Schools Season Important Dates

*2025 Dates are TBC

  • 7th February - Parent & Student Information Night 
  • 10th February - Training for Year 10s and Seniors starts
  • 24th February - Training for Year 9s starts 
  • 14th-25th March - No Training for all Shenton athletes due to ARC Nationals. 
  • 28th April - Membership fees due (excluding payment plans)

 

2025 All Schools Seaon Regatta Dates

  • 15th June - All Schools Regatta 1 
  • 28th June - All Schools Regatta 2
  • 26th July - All Schools Regatta 3
  • 9th August - All Schools State Championships 

All regattas are held at VenuesWest Champion Lakes Regatta Centre

2025 Shenton Rowing Training Schedule

Please note: Timetable will be changed on Tuesday the 26th of March in order to accommodate the coaches that are currently training for their Nationals. The pre-nationals timetable will only effect Tuesday and Saturday mornings so year 9’s will not be affected. 

 

Membership & Fees

Registration is processed through RevoluntiseSport.

2025 Shenton Rowing Program Yr 9 $745/ Yr 10-12 $785. Plus $100 regatta fee

2025 RWA Schools Member Fee $54.69

The RWA fee is an up-front payment and must be paid to ensure students are insured. Shenton Rowing program fee will be invoiced end of March. The regatta fee will be invoiced in May. If you require a payment plan, please contact UWABC Registrar

UWABC is a KidSport Club. KidSports Voucher's up to the value of $500 are available to eligible Shenton students to partially cover membership fees. Follow the application process via the KidSport website. Please note, the RWA registration fee of $54.69 is not covered by the voucher as this is not a UWABC charged fee. 

Membership fees include qualified coaching and equipment use. Shenton zoot suits (rowing uniform) and Shenton rowing hats are additional costs but are not compulsory to wear. 

Coxswains (Year 10 & Seniors): Contact UWABC Registrar for Shenton Coxswain Membership and ensure you have ticked "I am enrolling as a coxswain" at the end of your registration process.
